Mathew Castorena born on April 24th, 1985, unexpectedly passed away on November 22, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter and love. He was a dedicated Industrial Insulator for over ten years, but his true joy came from the time spent with his beloved children.
Mathew was born in Pocatello, Idaho to Jessie and Phillip Castorena. He grew up alongside his brothers Michael and Patrick Castorena. Mathew developed a contagious smile that brightened the world around him. With his witty personality and good sense of humor, he brought laughter into every room he entered.
While Mathew possessed many talents and accomplishments throughout his life, one of his proudest moments was becoming a journeyman insulator. His dedication and hard work were evident in everything he did, and he strived for excellence in every aspect of his career.
Outside of work, Mathew found solace in nature he had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and loved exploring different fishing spots during his travels. His passion for fishing led him to catch various species of fish, each unique and thrilling in its own way. It was during these quiet moments surrounded by nature that he found peace and tranquility.
Above all else, Mathew's greatest joy came from being a loving father to his children-sons Alex and Talan and daughters Payzlee and Pixie. He adored them with all his heart and cherished every moment spent with them.
Mathew will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind not only his children but also his father Phillip Castorena and brother Michael Castorena additionally, he is survived by his sister-in-law Kimberly Castorena, nephew Patrick Castorena, nieces Autumn, Ariana and Sydney Castorena. Mathew is also survived by his former wife Whitney Nichols, who is the mother of his children. He is preceded in death by his mother Jessie and brother Patrick.
Let us remember Mathew for the joy he brought into our lives and the love he shared so freely. In his contagious smile and quick wit, we find solace knowing that he lives on in our hearts. May his soul rest peacefully as we celebrate the life of a remarkable man whose spirit will forever brighten our world.

The funeral Mass will be at 12 noon
Thursday November 30, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 352 Roosevelt Street, in American Falls, Idaho.
